Day Three - Diet with Dianna

Yesterday was a good day, EXCEPT I went over on my sugar points. That's okay, I'm not going to beat myself up over it. I will plan better. I didn't have time to plan my meals. I think I shall start planning the meal for a week. I can do it on Sunday or even one night during the week. I just have to plan them, not cook them. Then I'll make out a shopping list and that should make planning better.
It's a pain to have to look up the counting for every food, but as I go along, I will get better. It's just that it's a new concept and it will take some time, trial and error.
I felt good yesterday. I didn't get groggy during the day. I had lots of energy.  I didn't eat the snacks because I didn't remember to take some with me when I was out and about.

Today, I am volunteering at my church offices and I will have to eat out. This should be interesting. I will not post my lunch items until after dinner, tonight. Sorry :(

REVELATION KNOWLEDGE:
Plan ahead. Do my homework. I must budget my time better. Running around trying to figure it out as I go along, is not working. It causes stressfulness and confusion.

BREAKFAST:

  • Bowl of Cheerios w/Silk Organic Sugar-Free Plain Soy Milk (Not bad...hardly noticed a taste difference. I think I was expecting something much worse. It was actually very good.) AND a half package of Truvia. (I only use half a package because I don't like it really sweet, just in case you were wondering).  S/C = 2/1
  • Half a Oroweat Sandwich Thin - Multi-Grain (for two slice it would be 1/1, but since I only ate half, it doesn't have to count as 1 sugar!) 0/1
  • Teaspoon of Polmar Sugar-Free Seedless Blackberry Jam 0/1
  • Sugar-Free Whipped Cream topping on the toast: 0/0
  • Coffee with half & half and half package of Truvia 0/0
Total Breakfast Sugar/Carb count: 2/2

Lunch:
Lunch today was out at a restaurant and I wasn't sure where we were going to go. My husband picked Bottlecap Alley Icehouse Grill. I really like this place...especially before I was dieting. Lots of yummy food and their Margaritas are kickers! Very, very strong.  B.T.W., we didn't have any alcoholic drinks.
My husband had the burger with egg, bacon, cheese, and all the bread, too. He also had french fries and diet coke.  Grrrrr!

I wasn't really hungry because I was feeling satisfied from my breakfast, but I ordered something anyway in order to eat at the appropriate interval.

Nachos: corn tortilla chips covered in melted Monterrey Jack and Cheddar cheeses. Large glass of Iced Tea with lemon wedge and one packet of Truvia (I actually planned ahead and put several packets in my purse).
Lunch Total: S/C = 0/1  AMAZING! RIGHT?

Snack Time:
Hand full of cashews and about 6 raisins...salty and sweet.  I'm not supposed to eat raisins but they were so good!!!!! I think I had more than an ounce in my handful. My handful was not an enormous handful either. It was just enough to cover my palm. One ounce of dry roasted is an S/C of 1/1...
Snack Time S/C Total: 2/2

Dinner:
Oh, this was delicious!!!!!! I made a four egg omelet with 3 Tablespoons of the Sugar Free Soy milk, baby spinach, seasoned chicken (that I cooked up on Monday), 8 pepperoni slices, Swiss and cheddar, 5 bacon slices - precooked and crumbled and 1 Tablespoon butter to season the pan. I added onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. I cut it into fourths. Wade and I each ate one quarter slice of a 12" round omelet. Wade and I split another quarter wedge. My daughter ate the last wedge.
Dinner S/C Total = 1/1
This seems low...I hope I counted this accurately....Yikes!!! If anyone has a correction, I'd like to KINDLY know.

I have room for a really good evening snack....If I were hungry. Oh, Pooh! I might have some coffee, later. :D

DAILY TOTAL S/C: 5/6
Hooray! This is a better total than yesterday!!!!!
