Tonight is our Bible study group meeting, so I will be walking late tonight. I am not complaining and I am grateful that I am flexible and persistent with my exercise/walking. I will fit it in when and where I can. NO worries!
Revelation Knowledge:
MERRY - Proverbs 17:22a, A merry heart does good, like medicine... Proverbs 15:13 A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance...
According to a 2009 study by cardiologists at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, LAUGHTER, along with an active sense of humor, may help protect you against a heart attack. The study, which is the first to indicate that laughter may help prevent heart disease, found that people with heart disease were 40 percent less likely to laugh in a variety of situations compared to people of the same age without heart disease. http://www.umm.edu/features/laughter.htm
"We could perhaps read something humorous or watch a funny video and try to find ways to take ourselves less seriously," Miller says. "The recommendation for a healthy heart may one day be exercise, eat right and laugh a few times a day." Dr. Michael Miller, M.D. (director of the Center for Preventive Cardiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center and a professor of medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.)When you are happy (merry, joyful, rejoicing, singing, happy), its hard to be grumpy. The joy of merriness is contagious and it can turn many situations around to good. It can calm the savage beast (a mean check-out clerk or a person that is sad and needing a mental hug). When you are merry, you reflect the Love of Jesus to those you meet. When you are happy, laughing, joyous, it heals your heart. I'd much prefer "laugh lines" than "frown wrinkles".
My suggestion to you is...turn your frown, upside down. Smile--laugh--be happy--and Give God the Glory!
